Last weekend I tried to bring two tablets back to life. I used to have them. They've been in a drawer for years.
A PlayBook I love, and I don't know why
One of them is a BlackBerry PlayBook. I love it. I don't know why. The store is closed. The company shut down. There were no apps on it. It was in bad shape. The kind of bad that makes you feel sorry for it.
The iPad 2 the company gave me
The other one is an iPad 2. The company gave it to me. The store was closed too, because the OS is old.
Jailbreaking got a lot easier
Honestly, jailbreaking got way easier after AI. I put OpenSSH on both of them. Apps, games, and YouTube too. We can use them now. At least for travel and reading books.
Then back in the drawer
You can tell real work went into this older hardware. Throwing it out would be a waste.
Now I can put them back in the drawer and feel okay about it.
